About us

Annie MacPhail was born and raised in New England but has lived and worked in the Caribbean for almost 20 years. After working for several marketing and software companies, she established CaribAtlantic Group in 2003, a small marketing and PR firm focused on assisting small and medium sized Caribbean businesses, allowing them to reach out to new international markets using web-based and print media.

In 2004, she retained House of Wonders [hand crafted eco-friendly furniture made from retired East African sailing dhows] as a client. Annie worked very closely with the company and was so enthusiastic about the concept, that she is now a partner and represents the company throughout the Caribbean and the Americas.

In an effort to compliment the furniture, she sought out sustainable fabrics over the past several years. This inevitably lead to finding a fine line of recycled cotton truck tarp and using it for upholstery. She found the rugged fabrics and full array of colours perfectly suited for not only home furnishings, but other applications such as annie macphail ™ bags and totes.

annie macphail ™ was developed in 2008 and launched in 2009 at the New York International Gift Fair with a line of 6 different designs. Not long after, several new designs were rolled out and many more are in development.

Be sure visit annie macphail ™ often as new products are being launched with every season. Each piece is unique in purpose and design.
